Nowadays, the electric energy consumption is growing rapidly according to our society´s development, reason why the country suffers time periods of non renewable energy shortage, and not to mention the environmental impact these sources have on our soil.
There are other alternatives that make use of renewable sources, while respecting the environment and contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix.
Renewable energy´s main feature is that they are virtually inexhaustible and its low environmental impact and a good approach can contribute to local development, since they take maximum advantage of the potential resources of the region.
Currently, Electro Ecuadorian is an enterprise which supports new technology, environment, efficiency and productivity, is developing a solar farm, which will help improve the productive matrix of our country.
The project begun in the year 2012 and it will be connected to the country’s electricity network delivering approximately 2 MWp, covering around 3.5 hectares, which actual owners are the companies “ALTGENOTEC S.A and GENRENOTEC S.A.”
To complete this project 8640 245 Wp Yingli Solar panels will be used.
The purpose of this project is the addition to the network, the electricity produced by PV generator connected to the national network with the help of a transformation system BT / MT. The inverter-transformer set comes as a pre-assembled unit.
Ecuador is still dependent on significant percentage of thermal generation on the basis of burning petroleum products, which means high financial and environmental costs. With the use of renewable energies Ecuador can go from being an importer to an exporter of energy.
Achieving these objectives will involve the use of equipment of the highest quality materials, which also allow to always ensure the safety of both people and the network itself and the other systems that will be connected to it.
